Out with the Old. In with the New.
with Corey Lakusiak
Monday, January 1, 2018
1:00 – 2:30 pm

Start the new year off right…

Join me for 90-minutes of restorative asana, guided self-massage/acupressure with Black Tourmaline stones & vibrational sound therapy (Tibetan singing bowls),…with the goal of clearing out the old, to make room for the new.

Do you know that our physical body is made of liquid crystals?

Liquid crystallinity gives all living organisms their characteristic flexibility, exquisite sensitivity and responsiveness, thus optimising the rapid, noiseless intercommunication that enables them to function as a coherent, coordinated whole. The human-organism is coherent beyond our wildest dreams. Every part is in communication with every other part through a dynamic, tunable, responsive liquid crystalline medium that pervades the whole body, from organs and tissues to the interior of every cell.

Incorporating guided self-massage & acupressure with Black Tourmaline will help to realign and attune the liquid crystalline structure of your body and release any excess/erratic energy from your body and it’s electrical system, which will leave you feeling: clear, grounded & relaxed. Each participant will take home a large piece of raw, unpolished Black Tourmaline. (Read more about Black Tourmaline’s properties below).

This 90-minute class will wrap-up with a long savasana with sound therapy (Tibetan singing bowls). Your only job will be to lay back and enjoy the good vibes.

Date: Monday, January 1, 2018 (1:00 pm – 2:30 pm)
Cost: $47.25 (includes GST)

I look forward to starting the new year off with you…creating clear intentions and optimal vibrations.
Blessings,
Corey Jill Lakusiak

Tourmaline (Black):
Chakra: Root (1st), Muladhara.
Key words: purification, protection.
Element: Earth
“Black Tourmaline is one of the premier stones for our age. It has the ability to transmute and purify negative energy, turning it into usable energy. Black Tourmaline is also an electrical gemstone and can be used to purify and regulate the electrical and other energetic systems of the body. It is especially useful for those who experience high levels of stress in their work or home lives. Black Tourmaline is grounding and is one of the most effective stones for use for creating grounding circuit with the Earth’s energetic field. This grounding circuit is increasingly important as we strive to adjust ourselves to the Earth’s shifting electromagnetic field. Unless one is well grounded and attuned to the planetary energies, these shifts can increase feelings of stress and negativity. By utilising the supportive energy of Black Tourmaline, one is able to easily move into alignment with these subtle changes.
Spiritually, Black Tourmaline provides a grounding path for Light to enter the Earth plane.
Emotionally, this ally helps one disengage from obsessive or compulsive behaviours and release chronic worry and anxiety.
Physically, Black Tourmaline helps purify the body of toxins and wastes. It can support the cleansing of heavy metals and environmental pollutants from the body.
Affirmation: I banish all negative attachments, within and without. I am purified, grounded and centred upon the Earth.”

I AM…STRONG
with Corey Lakusiak
Tuesdays 11:15 am – 12:15 pm
January 9, 16 & 23
The focus of this 3-class series is to build strength & resiliency in the body, beginning with the foundation (core, hips & knees). As we age, it is vitally important to maintain and build strength for the health of our muscles and bones, as well as for the strength of our Spirit.
As a former world class athlete, I have spent years lifting weights and doing all sorts of training in order to build strength & resiliency. But the rigorous training that I did when I was in my teens and 20’s is no longer appropriate for my body. The wisdom of age and years of practice have revealed a new path of strength training that I believe is suitable for all.
Cost:
  • For registered Yoga at St. Mark’s students – $45 (plus bands = $70)
  • For non-registered students – $60 (plus bands = $85)
  • 5 multi-resistance bands – $25
Each 60-minute class will include: warm-up, strength building, conditioning & cool-down.
Looking forward to building a stronger community with you all.
