Yoga at St. Marks | Special Events

Special Events

with Corey Lakusiak
Tuesdays 11:15 am – 12:15 pm
January 9, 16 & 23
The focus of this 3-class series is to build strength & resiliency in the body, beginning with the foundation (core, hips & knees). As we age, it is vitally important to maintain and build strength for the health of our muscles and bones, as well as for the strength of our Spirit.
As a former world class athlete, I have spent years lifting weights and doing all sorts of training in order to build strength & resiliency. But the rigorous training that I did when I was in my teens and 20’s is no longer appropriate for my body. The wisdom of age and years of practice have revealed a new path of strength training that I believe is suitable for all.
  • For registered Yoga at St. Mark’s students – $45 (plus bands = $70)
  • For non-registered students – $60 (plus bands = $85)
  • 5 multi-resistance bands – $25
Each 60-minute class will include: warm-up, strength building, conditioning & cool-down.
Looking forward to building a stronger community with you all.

Transforming Relationships
with Lynn Crawford
Thursdays, February 1, 8, & 15
10:00 am – Noon
Cost: $155.00

Everyone wants loving and caring relationships. Often the reality is less than positive for both parties. What is going on?

Healing Relationships: The bonds of relationship are shaped early on. This workshop looks at how early attachments are formed and how we can begin to understand and heal them as adults within the relationships we have now.

Understanding and Coping with Anxiety: Most of us have some unresolved anxiety wrecking havoc in life and our relationships. In this workshop we will take a look at the formation of anxiety and how it impacts our relationships and everyday functioning. We’ll explore meaningful ways to recognize and reduce anxiety.

Understanding Self–Esteem and Chronic Self Destructive Behaviours: This workshop looks at how our unfamiliarity with our inner landscape leads to a fundamental inner disconnect and thus a loss of control. This means simply the things I know I should do, I don’t and/ or the things I know I shouldn’t do, I end up doing.
